Our current plan is to spend the year schooling in quarters with two long breaks and two short breaks.
Quarter 1 runs from July through September. We will take a two week break for a trip to Disney at the end of this quarter. Maggie and Annie will officially start grades 4 and 1. Morgan will finish up his 9th grade work in Biology and World History in the first part of the quarter and then begin his 10th grade courses slowly over a period of a few weeks. He will be full time by September.
Quarter 2 runs from October to December. We will take a 3 day break in November for Thanksgiving and a longer winter break from early-December through the first week in January.
Quarter 3 runs from January to March. We will take a two weeks of breaks in this quarter, either together or separately. That's the fun of homeschooling. We can do what we want.
Quarter 4 runs from April to June. Our big break will be the entire month of June and maybe part of May. As we finish courses, we will just let work taper off.
